ABOUT DESTINATION

Murter is the biggest and the closest to the mainland of all the islands of Sibenik arhipelago. There are 4 small touristic towns on the island: Betina, Murter, Jezera and Tisno.

Slanica, Kosirina, Podvrske, Cigrada are just a few of many beautiful sand beaches in the area.

The island Murter is more attractive cause of the closeness of the National parks (Kornati and Krka) and historical town Šibenik.

The larger part of the island is covered with old olive and fig trees which are the main traditional cultures of the domestic population.

It has been settled even during prehistorical times, which confirms the remains and ruins of the old Roman town Colentium.
